Acer AS5742Z-4685 Review :I’m a somewhat advanced computer user and had been looking at laptops for a while before buying the Acer AS5742Z-4685. I dug into all of the specs of about 6 different models and zeroed in on this one as the best value. The price point was above the $300 I spent on our ‘family’ laptop a year ago, but I’m glad I spent the extra $100 (check out some of the private sellers’ prices).

Pros: Crystal-clear LED screen, fast computing, great multi-tasking, not too much crap-ware pre-installed, lightweight, and easy-to-use keyboard

Cons: Battery life is good, but not great; price point is a bit high if you’re willing to wait for Black Friday or Gold Box deals… which I obviously wasn’t)

Overall, this laptop is a good buy in the $500 range, a great value at the $400 level, and–if it ever goes on sale in the $300 to 350 range–don’t miss your chance to buy it!

nordic ware microwave egg cooker Review :I can’t boil eggs that come out perfectly, too many variables. But with the Nordic Egg Boiler, I am a happy camper. You have to experiment with the first two attempts to get the times right (your microwave power and time to cook the eggs per the instructions). But once you’ve got it down, you get “soft boiled eggs, medium boiled eggs, and hard boiled eggs (may I add, they are easy to peel, very easy!)”. On my microwave, I set the time on high to 12.30 minutes. Thats it. I walk away. The microwave beeps at me. So what, let them sit there. When I’m ready I take them out of the microwave (use pot holders – it’s still hot), and run them in the tray over cold water. Perfect eggs, whether soft boiled, medium, or hard boiled. I did not want a machine that had it’s own heating elements, those machines in time, will break down from the moisture created, and this will result in increased cooking times or complete failure of the unit. The Nordic Egg Boiler works, it is easy to use, and it is simple to use. Nuff said….

DEWALT DC720KA Review :Both sons were in need of a drill. Both live too far away to borrow mine. Read all previous reviews and settled on this particular one. Now not only do they have one, but mine will remain safe within my home. Love this drill. We made a video manual for this drill on HandBookLive.com (under Tools). The drill is very simple to use, but if you are more visual and don’t want to to read instructions – this is a quick way to see what it does, and how to use it. In my opinion the video is more useful for woman like me, who want to feel more comfortable using a drill for the first time (I remember using a screwdriver forever because I just wasn’t so sure what kind of damage I can do with an electric tool).
We bought it when we decided to build a loft and didn’t want to use our cheap drill for such a big project. We use it all the time for quick fixes around the house. This drill is light and feels great in the hand. The speed control is very good too. And I never used to bother with speed controls on my drill before.

Samsung Q430 Review :I got this laptop as an Xmas gift for my wife. Have used it only for a day and she loves the lightweight feel and the brushed aluminium finish gives it a very elegant look. It is superfast with the i5 core & 4GB of memory. Other pros are the keyboard layout, it is well laid & spaced out. The heat management is amazing. For a quad core, it runs so cool, that I could not believe it. The fan runs very rarely and definitely not when browsing.

Cons are that the keyboard is not backlit and it has no bluetooth, but I knew that before buying it. All in all, a great laptop for a very reasonable price. I got it in one of them deals at Amazon.com with the $100 credit so am really happy. I contemplated buying an iPad but gave up the idea when I got this at the same price and I am glad I did that. Got all the programs installed and it runs like a champ.

Toshiba Satellite C655-S5118 review :it arrived well packed. It is a great value.Has quality parts not off brands. Easy to use. The only thing about laptops in general is that there is not enough usb ports. thanks Amazon for the great deal.
